Financial Planning Process

Step 1 - The First Interview

Our first complimentary interview will involve discussing your current financial situation and completing a detailed fact-finding exercise. We understand that everybody is unique so we aim to accurately establish your financial needs, objectives and circumstances in order to structure a financial plan that is ideal for your personal situation. In addition, during our first interview we will present an overview of our practice, introduce you to our friendly team and discuss our fee structure. This first interview is free of charge.

Step 2 - The Plan Preparation

Subsequent to our first interview you will have time to decide whether you would like to proceed with the preparation of a financial plan tailored specifically to your requirements. If you agree to implement our recommendations we will prepare a realistic Statement of Advice based on your current state of affairs. Accordingly, we will show you the path to financial freedom and success. Preparing a financial plan usually takes 5 – 10 working days after you grant us permission to proceed. In some cases it may take longer, depending on the advice required.

Step 3 - The Plan Presentation

We arrange another appointment to meet again to go through your personalised plan and answer any questions you may have or make changes as required. Again, we will allow you the time to decide whether you are happy with the plan and our recommendations to assist you in achieving financial independence. At this stage the plan is a working document.

Step 4 - Implementation

After you have decided to go ahead with the recommendations, You will be required to sign an authority to proceed. We will meet again to complete any necessary paperwork and answer any further questions you may have. Your plan fee is payable at this time.

Step 5 - Review

Personal annual reviews are conducted with Greg Slatter to ensure that your plan remains relevant to your goals, needs and objectives. The annual review fee is $295.00 and can be paid by account or from your investment account.
